weekly roundup

It's time for another weekly roundup! Here's a few things I've liked this past week.

First. Frozen/Wicked video.

I loved this video!! It was perfectly in sync with using Frozen characters to sing Defying Gravity from Wicked. Which in the off chance you didn't know, Idina Menzel (voice of Elsa) is the lead singer in Defying Gravity as well.

Second.  Zoe Sugg's upcoming first book.

Ever since I really started to learn more about YouTube, I've come to admire Zoe Sugg aka Zoella on YouTube. She's the one person that I feel like I completely relate to in so many ways. I'd be lying if I didn't say that she was among the many that inspired me to really give YouTube a try. (That's still happening, just on pause due to my room being in shambles).

Anyways, Zoe let us know this week that she's releasing a book on November 25 of this year. It's a fictional novel. Here's the synopsis;

I had no idea GirlOnline would take off the way it has - I can't believe I now have 5432 followers, thanks so much! - and the thought of opening up to you all about this is terrifying, but here goes . . .
Penny has a secret.
Under the alias GirlOnline, she blogs about school dramas, boys, her mad, whirlwind family - and the panic attacks she's suffered from lately. When things go from bad to worse, her family whisks her away to New York, where she meets the gorgeous, guitar-strumming Noah. Suddenly Penny is falling in love - and capturing every moment of it on her blog.
But Noah has a secret too. One that threatens to ruin Penny's cover - and her closest friendship - forever.
It sounds amazing, and I can't wait to read it!!!

Third. Modern Family rewatch.

As you may be aware I'm currently rewatching Buffy the Vampire Slayer. But I put a pause on that while my room is getting painted. So I decided to also start another rewatch! Two at once, crazy times! I'm a big fan of sitcoms, and this is one of my favourites!! This is one of those shows that just puts me in better spirits after I watch it. It's funny, but also heartwarming. I really love the family dynamic between this crazy family. When I first started watching this show, I didn't realize it was about a whole family. I had thought it was just about three separate families. (Not sure why I thought that, hopefully I wasn't the only one..)

But it's Jay (played by Ed O'Neil) and his two kids, Claire (Julie Bowen) and Mitchell (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) who are related and then each of their families. Jay just recently remarried when the show starts to Gloria (Sofia Vergara) and he gains a stepson in Manny (Rico Rodriguez). Then there's Claire and her husband of 16 years, Phil (Ty Burrell) and their three kids, Haley (Sarah Hyland), Alex (Ariel Winter), and Luke (Nolan Gould). And of course, Mitchell's boyfriend of 5 years, Cam (Eric Stonestreet) who just adopted their daughter, Lily.

It's a really good show!! I recommend it if you're looking for something that doesn't take long to watch, and something that's going to make you laugh and make you feel better. For me, some days this becomes the perfect medication.

What are things you've been loving this week?
-Michelle
