What's Your Personality Type?

As you may or may not know, I want to become a Librarian and the other day I was wondering if I did a Career Test if I would get that as one of the results and that's what lead to this post. I did the Disney Princess Personality Test months ago on tumblr, and when I did this career test, I got the same result so it must mean that I am, indeed, ISFJ. What my result had to say was so spot on accurate that I thought I would share it with you guys, as well as give you the option to find out your personality type and which results you get. Unfortunately the tumblr who made that chart is deleted, so I don't remember what link was used for that test. But you can still find out your result after doing the career test!

Here's the link to the Career Test.

My results: ISFJ (Introverted. Sensing. Feeling. Judging)

Disney Princess; Cinderella
Traditional, loyal, kind and observant of others. Values stability and cultural norms and are often consistent with work. Known for their kindness and willingness to go to any lengths to help those in need. Often fear change and try hard to maintain peace.

Career Test Results; Conservator
ISFJs are service and work oriented and are very loyal. They make good nurses, teachers, secretaries, and librarians. 6% of the total population.
ISFJ's respect established authority and they tend to accept others’ opinions and desires as their own. In work situations, they provide a stable and standardized service. Disorderly situations and constantly changing rules can cause them undue stress. At these times ISFJ's need to be more assertive and direct because, owing to their kindheartedness and sensitivity, ISFJ's can be taken for granted and even taken advantage of. This can cause them to feel resentment and anger — feelings that the ISFJ has a tendency to deny. If the situation worsens and uncomfortable feelings build up, the ISFJ will begin to feel insecure about their status. Worrying that they are not secure or protected enough, they may become overprotective and excessively nervous about foreboding events. This can cause others to feel resistant or defiant which then contributes to the disorder of the situation.
If stress continues, the ISFJ will experience increasing anxiety. Their fear that things will continue to spin out of control will result in a general feeling of dread and apprehensiveness. They become both wary of change and unrelentingly pessimistic about the future. ISFJ's will eventually become immobilized by physical symptoms associated with their anxieties. Providing care for others will become secondary as their own bodily symptoms — resulting from their fears of abandonment — disable to such a degree that they cannot assume their responsibilities. Yet, abandoning service-orientated obligations prevents ISFJ's from accessing opportunities that allow them to fulfill their basic needs.
That is basically me to a tee! I don't, I just find this stuff fascinating!

So what about you? What are your results? What's your personality type, and which Disney Princess are you??

Let me know!

Thanks for reading!!

Rating: 4/5

My Review:

Before I review, I just want to sidnote and say this is my 100th blog post!! YAY!

Okay An Abundance of Katherines! At the start of this book, I wasn't loving it. I found the main character too many whiny to be likeable, something that is actually remarked upon in the book so I guess that was intentional. I just wasn't sure where this book was going until Colin, and his best friend Hassan, got to their destination on their road trip which was very close to the beginning of the book. Because this is John Green, I had a feeling it would get better and it did.

I really enjoyed watching Colin go from being a whiny, self-absorbed child prodigy to someone who became likeable and see him have his moment of self-actualization. I liked the character of Lindsey Lee Wells, and how she and Colin were kindred spirits in a way. I like Hassan for his hilarious sidekick moments, and for setting Colin straight on certain things.

The one problem I had with the book was all the graphs and mathematics. Not my area of expertise, so it was all really confusing. But it doesn't take over the story, so it was tolerable.

Another John Green great! Do you agree? What's your favourite John Green book?

Thanks for reading!!

TV Talk; fav shows and my otps

One of my Top 5 posts so far is my TV talk post I did at the start of this show season. I actually really liked doing that one as I love talking about some of my favourite TV shows.

So without further ado, let's talk TV!

First. Goodbye Hart of Dixie!

Last week, I had to say goodbye to Glee and now today I have to say goodbye to Hart of Dixie and I'm extremely sad about it. Hart of Dixie was that feel good, small town cooky show kinda like Gilmore Girls but not. I just absolutely loved this show and it's adorableness. I started watching for Rachel Bilson because as you may or may not know, I loved The OC and Summer Roberts was my main girl. But the charm of the show is what made it for me. It was just such a charming show!!

Of course I can't say goodbye without mentioning my OTP of the show; Zade (Zoe and Wade). He was the resident ladies man, she was the good girl doctor. They had a lot of ups and downs, but it was clear from the start they were the IT couple. We are at such a pivotal moment for them as a couple, and we won't get to see how they handle it.

Well, goodbye Hart of Dixie! Sad to see this show go. Curse you, The CW!!

EDIT: Help try saving the show by voting on this poll. You have until this Sunday to vote!! (This will be deleted after Sunday)

Second. Once Upon a Time; Season 4B

Last time I did this was after the OUAT Season 4 premiere, and I can't do a TV talk post without talking about one of my favourite shows at the moment. The first half of Season 4 was amazing! As you can probably tell, I love Frozen. So having that whole storyline brought over to OUAT made for great TV. I thought they did such a good job sticking with the movie as well as adding in their own mix. The actors cast were spot on, and did a phenomenal job. I just loved it!

Now onto the second half with those ladies in the picture! OUAT is a show that just rarely disappoints me, and I'm most certainly not disappointed with this season. I love the new additions of villains, and their storylines. I'm counting down the days until a new episode pretty much from the moment an episode ends.

Let's talk about these two for a minute! I've shipped this since the moment they had screentime together way back in Season 2. They're journey is definitely one of my favourite parts of this show. It's been such a joy! I'm absolutely loving them this season and how they are handling being a couple. I love that they have so much faith in each other, and are always supporting the other one. Especially now with what's happening in Emma's storyline. I like that he's always honest and there for her, even when other people aren't. I love seeing their love story progress and I can't wait to see what happens next!! Is it Sunday yet??

Third. Modern Family

So I can't not talk about this one. For me, Modern Family will always be a show that I love. I'm never disappointed with this show! It always puts a smile on my face and makes me laugh every episode! After 6 seasons, that's a good thing! I just love this family so much!! My favourite character is and has always been Phil, followed closely by Cam. But honestly I like all of them, and all their antics. Such a great sitcom!!

Oh Haley and Andy, and their adorableness!! The scene above Haley admitted her feelings to him thinking he was passed out on morphine (it's a long story), but he heard her!!! His next episode is next week, so I can't wait to see how they interact in that episode!

Their progress this season has been beautiful. I just wish Adam DeVine could be in more episodes, but he's a super busy, super talented guy. I do hope they work out a deal with him next season where he's in more than 6 episodes, especially if these two end up together. (We'll see!!)

Fourth. New Girl

I love New Girl! It's just such a fun, quirky show that never falls to make me laugh. Every character on this show is funny in their own way. When I started this show, Schmidt was my favourite but by the end of season 1, they were all my favourite! I couldn't tell you who my favourite character on this show is because they all are. I'm loving this season despite my main couple splitting up last season. This season is just funnier, and I'm loving where the story is going so far.

My main couple, Nick and Jess! I've loved these two since the start. He's the grumpy bartender, and she's the sunshine teacher. Just complete opposites, but they work. I hated how they broke up last season. It was very frustrating, but it needed to happen I suppose. I like that where we're at in Season 4, it's becoming more and more clear again that these two belong together. It's only a matter of time before they get back together!

Okay, this super long post is done! I quite like these, and will try to do them more often.

What are your favourite TV shows? Who are your OTPs? Let me know in the comments!

Thanks for reading!!

Disney Day!!

On the Saturday that just passed, my stepsister, Tasha, and I had a Disney Day! We saw the new Cinderella movie which was amazing! It was very cute, and well done. If you're a Disney nut, it's a must see! I also enjoyed the Disney short that aired before Cinderella, it was Frozen Fever. The song was so adorable that I of course downloaded it immediately afterwards.

After that, we headed off to Toronto to see Disney on Ice: Frozen. I haven't been to Disney on Ice since I was a kid, so I was so excited for this, I was counting down the days. It was everything and more. Truly spectacular!!

Here are some pictures and videos from the experience.

Little OOTD

Shirt: Hot Topic | Jeggings: Garage Co.

Cinderella

Disney On Ice: Frozen

Tasha and I got the classic snow cones in Disney mugs. Mine's the Elsa one, her's the Olaf.

Because I'm lazy, I put all the pictures into a photobucket without going through all of them. There's over 200 pictures that I took, some great, some potentially blurry. But if you want to go over there and take a look, here's the link.

Same goes for the videos, I compiled them all together in one big video and posted it on a random YouTube account that I don't use. If it gets taken down for some reason then I'll find somewhere else to put it. Here's the link to the video on YouTube is you want to watch it over there.

Also before I go, this happened:

And that was Disney Day!!

Goodbye Glee! + Blog Update

Blog Update: I updated all of Book Reviews to look the same, and added in a few things like when the books were published and by who, the genre and number of pages, along with a link to the books Goodreads page. I also want to note that all information I got for the following things were from the book's Goodreads page on the edition that I personally own.

Okay with that said, time to say Goodbye to Glee!

Glee at one time was the most important TV show in my life, and everything was about Glee! And while that went away, the impact this show had on me at that time has stayed with me to this day. Yes, Glee became this outlandish show that was so unbelievable that it, at times, was laughable. But it also was a show that had heart, good characters, and great music. Because of that I will honestly miss this show.

It was because of Glee (and Dianna Agron) that I was introduced to the world of tumblr. When I joined tumblr, I had no idea what I was signing on for. Here we are 5 years later since I joined, and I'm on it every single day, and I've made incredible friendships with people all over the world. It was these friendships that always picked me up when I was down, made laugh, and made me feel like I belong and there's people in the world who are like me. For that, I'm incredibly grateful!

While on the topic of tumblr, I thought I would share my story of how I came up with sunshinegold. It was my first tumblr URL, and still is! Because tumblr lead me to great things, and taught me alot about myself, that URL became a part of me. It's why this blog is named after it, along with all my social media URLs. So how did I come up with it? It's kind of silly now, but I originally wanted something Dianna Agron related because she was the reason I joined tumblr in the first place. I also wanted something Disney related because it's Disney. I like Sleeping Beauty, and I remember when I first saw Dianna that she looked like Aurora. So that's where I started. I started to watch the movie, when I got to the scene where the fairies give their gifts to baby Aurora, when Flora gives the gift of beauty, for hair the song sings, "gold of sunshine in her hair". I took that and made sunshinegold from it. And that's that!

Okay, back to Glee!

Let's talk OTP! For anyone who possibly doesn't know what that means and doesn't speak fangirl, OTP stands for One True Pairing. That one couple on the show that you love the most!

Here's mine!

Noah 'Puck' Puckerman and Quinn Fabray! I started watching glee a couple days after episode 4, Preggers, aired. I caught up on those 4 episodes before episode 5 aired. By the end of catching up, these two were it for me, instant OTP status. That hasn't wavered since, even though it was very shaky and difficult at times to ship them when the writers were writing for them (ship is another fangirl term; it's two people you want to be together in a relationship). I think they were each paired with any other possible person than each other throughout the show especially after Season 1, trust me when I say it was a frustrating time. But I always believed they would end up together. My prayers were answered in the shows 100th episode in Season 5. They got together for real, and have been together ever since, guaranteed we don't get to see that on-screen as Mark and Dianna weren't on the show as much after Season 3. But if you ask any Quick shipper, they will tell you the less time they are on screen, the less time for the writers to mess them up.

In the finale tonight, they jump forward 5 years. I'm already 99% certain their won't be any scenes for them. Which like I just said, is fine by me. I'm happy believing that in the time jump, they are happily married with another kid or more, and hopefully made peace with Shelby so they are in contact with Beth.

I can't say goodbye to Glee without talking about this guy and what he meant to me.

I will never forget the day I found out. It was on one of my days off, I woke up and checked my iPad like I always do. I had a message from one of my co-workers asking if Cory had died, and my first reaction was denial. I immediately thought it was a horrible twitter joke or something. But before I answered her, I decided to check to hopefully confirm my suspicion. I was wrong. I went on my tumblr and was bombarded with post after post about Cory's passing. I immediately broke down crying. Such an amazing person, gone way too soon!

Cory was instantly one of those celebrities that you just felt like you knew him personally, and you loved because of how great he was. First of all, he's Canadian so already I was connected to him. But in every cast interview I watched, he was this happy, funny, amazing person that the more you got to know him, as any fan could get to know a celebrity, you loved him more and more. From every story I've ever heard or read from fans or from his co-stars, you could tell he was one of the most genuinely nice people around. I miss him! I always will. The world lost an amazing man, and heaven gained an angel.

Thank you Glee! For introducing the world to this amazing cast of people. It's weird to think these people were once unknown, and now they are some of my favourite celebrities. This show also helped people see things differently, see the world differently. I'm thankful for that and all this show gave over the last 6 years. I can't believe it's time to now say goodbye, but here we are.

Goodbye, Glee.

"By it's very definition, glee is about opening yourself up to joy."

Urged down a disconnected path, the closer he gets, the less Q sees the girl he thought he knew...
Rating: 5/5

My Review:

As usual, John Green captivates me with this one. What I love about John Green books is he creates characters that you fall in love with, and characters that you think couldn't possibly exist but they make you wonder if maybe they..somewhere in the world. I loved all the characters in this universe. I really enjoyed the story and how it was sectioned off into three parts, each part servicing the story immensely.

You take the ride with Quentin Jacobsen, and follow the longest night of his life with Margo Roth Spiegelman, and what he goes through when she goes missing. As he begins his search for her, you the reader ask the same questions he does, mainly whether or not when he finds her, if she would be dead or alive. Maybe it's me, but I went back and fourth throughout the book about what Margo's fate would be.

I really enjoyed it. I'm now counting down the days until the movies comes out. John Green is an amazing writer, one of my favourites! I'm now in such a John Green reading zone, that I'm pre-warning you know, the next two books on my list are his books. One I haven't read yet, the other I want to re-read as it's been a while since I first read it. So look for that coming up!

What did you think of Paper Towns? Are you a big John Green fan?

Nearly 10 Months Without a Haircut!

Remember back in May when I posted by Goodbye Long Hair, Hello Medium Length post. I didn't realize it at the time, but that was the last time I had anything done to my hair!! That's horrible! But we're nearing 10 months now, I just can't look at the horrid roots anymore! It's time to fix this problem, and vow to never go this long without getting my hair done again!
