Before. Miles "Pudge" Halter's whole existence has been one big nonevent, and his obsession with famous last words has only made him crave the "Great Perhaps" (Fran├žois Rabelais, poet) even more. He heads off to the sometimes crazy, possibly unstable, and anything-but-boring world of Culver Creek Boarding School, and his life becomes the opposite of safe. Because down the hall is Alaska Young. The gorgeous, clever, funny, sexy, self-destructive, screwed-up, and utterly fascinating Alaska Young, who is an event unto herself. She pulls Pudge into her world, launches him into the Great Perhaps, and steals his heart.
After. Nothing is ever the same.

My Review:

I first read this book about 2 and a half years ago, so I want to give it a re-read especially since I've been in a John Green reading kick at the moment. I do love this one! I hope rumours are true and it gets made into a movie.

We follow Miles "Pudge" Halter has he leaves his parents in Florida to go to Culver Creek Boarding School in Alabama. There, he meets his roommate Chip "The Colonel" Martin, along with Takumi, an Asian who loves to rap, and of course Alaska Young who he's immediately attracted to and who changes his life forever.

I love the way John Green writes his books! This one, a big event happens in the book and the before section counts down to the event, and the after counts the days after it happens. I also love the way he writes characters, there's always this mysterious person, often a girl who is so different from anyone you'd ever met.

Again, I loved this book! I can't wait for John Green to write more books for me to read and write about!!

What's your favourite John Green book?

Thanks for reading!!
