Synopsis:
Jude and her twin brother, Noah, are incredibly close. At thirteen, isolated Noah draws constantly and is falling in love with the charismatic boy next door, while daredevil Jude cliff-dives and wears red-red lipstick and does the talking for both of them. But three years later, Jude and Noah are barely speaking. Something has happened to wreck the twins in different and dramatic ways . . . until Jude meets a cocky, broken, beautiful boy, as well as someone else—an even more unpredictable new force in her life. The early years are Noah's story to tell. The later years are Jude's. What the twins don't realize is that they each have only half the story, and if they could just find their way back to one another, they’d have a chance to remake their world.

My Review:

This is the first book I've ever read from Jandy Nelson, and I really enjoyed her writing style and how she wrote the two different perspectives from each twin. Noah's story takes place from when the twins are 13-14, and Jude's when they are 16. So much happens in each timeline that at times I didn't see how they connected until they started to and I thought that was brilliant. Each twin is going through things so differently from each other, but at the same time it's similar. I really just loved learning more about each twin and their stories.

The only things that I didn't love was how long the chapters was. I felt like I was getting overloaded with each story, that at times it was hard to keep track because I just got so much from one perspective that it was hard to then get into what was happening in the other twin's perspective. But now that I'm finished the book, I realize it wasn't that bad and I loved the story overall.

I would definitely recommend this book. I thought the idea of the story and how it all came together was so well done.

Have you read I'll Give You the Sun? What are your thoughts?
